I received my BSc, MSc and PhD degrees all in petroleum engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), Tehran, Iran. My PhD focused on the multi-physical and multi-scale characterization of shale gas resources in the Lurestan Basin, Iran, and numerical simulation of hydro-fracturing and hydro-shearing in these reservoirs within the theoretical framework of plasticity and damage mechanics.
